Mary Nicholsonne, PhD. was born on Sept 14,1943. She was the principal of Harford Heights Elementary School, and is retired associate superintendent of Baltimore City schools. She integrated Eastern High School. Dr. Nicholsonne is the author of: Strides Toward Excellence: The Harford Heights Model for The Journal of Negro Education, Vol. 57, No. 3, Urban Schools That Work (Summer, 1988), pp. 282-291 and her recent book debut, Only Grace.
